I’m Nick Tann – musician, songwriter, and your guide to the best new music you haven’t heard yet.

As per usual, I threw all I could find about the artists into Chatgpt and it came up with this….

I’m joined by Chris today, and we kick things off with some smooth reggae from one of our favourites—Manchester’s Madam Claude—with Part of Your Show. You might remember them from episode 2 and episode 7. They’ve just announced a big show in Whitby, so head over to their Instagram for all the details. There’s also a great piece about them on the Band on the Wall site—definitely worth a read.

Next up, back from episode 9, the outstanding London-based Amity returns with his new single To Be Known. It’s lush, cinematic, and beautifully crafted—Rufus Wainwright fans, take note. He’s got all the pieces in place with a stellar website you’ll want to explore.

From Leeds, we’ve got Pleasure Centre and their track Favourite (not F Song as I stated in the podcast), which ticks all the boxes—Radiohead-esque vibes, thoughtful production, and a really tight performance. Their site is loaded with interviews and videos, but we’re still waiting on some live dates. Sign up to their mailing list and keep an eye out.

Rounding things off, we head to California for Meteor Street and The Cult of Pure Feeling. A father/daughter duo recording out of their basement in Van Nuys, their sound is raw, powerful, and totally unique. Check out their website to dig into their story.

🎙️ As always, I talk passionately about the live music scene and the vital role independent venues play in supporting artists like these. Let’s keep it alive.

Thanks so much for listening—if you’ve discovered a new favourite artist today, let us know! Don’t forget to follow, rate, and share the podcast with people who love discovering great new music. Every little bit helps these amazing artists reach more ears.

Another episode with Chris, Madame Claude delight us again, this time with this amazing Punjabi – Ska cross over track Ladies and Gentlemen. I played them in episode 2 so all their details can be found there.Next up is Grete with an absolute banger of a tune Different. One of my faves of the year I think. I played her other track in episode 3,  but I couldn’t wait to play you this tune.  All the way from Sacramento Archers came charging in 3rd with their rock/metal killer track Never Enough. “Never Enough is a story too many of us are familiar with – the chemistry between two people who aren’t good for each other. These relationships are addictive by nature, and oftentimes toxic, resulting in conflict both internal and external. Never Enough addresses the uncomfortable side of this kind of relationship, acknowledging the “temporary high” of lapsing into toxicity. Because although there’s conflict and you might know it’s unhealthy, breaking the bonds for good is a lot harder than dealing with the familiarities with the thing you’ve come to know. – Nathanael Pulley – Vocals. They have 3 shows in the uk in Feb an march as well as a US tour. You can find out more by visiting their Facebook page  And finally to iconic Irish 4 piece CroninOverlooking Paris, whose credentials include “serving as musical directors for the Shane MacGowan Late Late Show Special in 2019, assembling a band that included members of The Pogues, Glen Hansard, and Lisa O’Neill. They’ve also performed at high-profile events such as Shane MacGowan’s wedding (alongside Johnny Depp) and funeral (with Nick Cave), and appeared in Julien Temple’s acclaimed documentary A Crock of Gold.” You can check out their fantastic website here.
