So we are 4!

I should be getting the hang of this now eh? I start with a banger of a track from one of my favourite named bands 0234 and their top tune ALL THE TIME. I promise you will find yourself singing this round in your head for the next week. They don’t have any social media at the moment. No really, nothing at all. They did buy me a couple of cups of coffee so they’re doing the right things by me. I will certainly playing them again.

Next up is the enigmatic ACROBVT with  their Imagine Dragonsesque (that’s a word isn’t it?) A Thousand Times which is no great surprise as this was engineered by the Imagine Dragons engineer Mark Needham.

They have enjoyed “….triumphant performances at The Great Escape in Brighton, Flux FM in Berlin, and Los Angeles, ACROBVT continue to solidify their place as one of the most electrifying alt rock acts on the scene” They do have a website which gets a massive thumbs up from me. On to one of my favourite bands whose music is right in my wheelhouse. The cool as f… Liverpool band Olvine  and their splendid track– Savanomano. Yeah, you try saying it! It was recorded live last year. You can watch the video of that here  You should check out their Bandcamp page to listen and follow them  They are fantastic

Finally I end the show off with Pale Strangers  and a track that is described as showing off their softer side although it sounds hard as nails to me Dopamine.  I’ve no socials from them but you can have a look while you’re listening. If you find anything feel free to add a comment.

Originally from Argentina, Melina Blanco brings something soulfully special to the table with her thoughtful song “Counting” that has a rarity, a killer finish, make sure you listen to the end and with headphones, obv. Some say “

You want original shanties from Manchester? You’ll be very happy with Sugar Crease and their drunken “Rum Soaked Buns”. Whats not to love? “Sugar Crease crack open their treasure chest to share a delicious and intoxicating treat. Lithuania’s loss is Londons gain as one of my favourites Grete send us to bed with her brilliant and catchy RnB head nodder  “Skinny Bones”.” She began her young artist and performer career in small ensembles and bands and was quickly spotted and drawn to the biggest stages in the country, such as tv competitions, musical theatre, international concerts and contests, and even the finals of The Voice of Lithuania.”

Welcome to episode 2 with Madame Claude giving us our first instrumental AND a modern Ska classic with  their track  “Holt Town”

Smiffy their manager, yes they have a manager get them, said “In just over 3 years we have supported The Selecter, The Beat, Cast, Bad Manners, The Dualers as well as playing some small festivals and opening the main stage at Beatherder festival and playing with Ocean Colour Scene and The Lottery Winners at Feel Good Festival” They want to go national this year and I can’t think why not. If you want something to keep your fingers busy whilst you’re listening the have a scroll through their socials

London band, Sweet Unrest come bouncing in second place with their punky, 90’s bass driven romp “How Are You Feeling” has a touch of the Stone Roses about it in it’s quieter moments.

Apparently “……are quickly becoming known for their thunderous live performance that falls somewhere between ecstatic dance and religious ritual. This is the song that kicks off the show. Keen on poetry and revelry, the band posits this song as the antidote to anyone who feels penned in by the restrictions of modern life.” They have socials too. Look!

The Made In Chelsea production staff love the Essex band Low Lying Sun‘s track “Get Well Soon” so much, they keep playing it on the programme. You can hear why, it’s beautiful!

They say “the song is a lot more stripped back and ‘playful’ than our previous releases, our producer Mikko Gordon really helped guide us in this, it’s a fun contrast with the melancholic lyrics.” “The song is about recognising your flaws, knowing you should address them but being unable to do so.” It’s a footy tapping head nodding banger, thats what it is!

And Finally….Van Royale channel Jeff Buckley with their monster track “Take It All” in a wonderfully produced banger of a tune. Did you agree with what I said about it?
